this photo shoot inspiration is based on a shoot i just did with some of my most beloved people. these three sisters. the “mah girls”.
i grew up in california, moved away for 9 years and came back, married. i didn’t have any of my direct family here. i instantly connected with this family. i worked as an assistant for their amazing architect father (the brains behind our remodel). they all welcomed me with open arms and became like family to me. they treat my children with the most precious kindness imaginable.
their mom is one of the greatest people i know. she has taught these girls to be forever giving, thoughtful, open, warm, smart and funny all rolled into one brilliant jewish/mormon burrito. they are leaders. they are self thinkers. they are the best friends a person could ask for. they are unique. they focus on excelling, serving, giving and outsmarting the rest of us that are all ten steps behind their insane wit all while not taking themselves too seriously.
although they are close in age they each are very individual in their style and approach.
i went to their house one night and dug through their closets and closets of clothing until we came up with this cohesive yet individual look.
if i had to categorize their styles i would do so as such: Ali = cute. erika = free spirited. julia = sophisticated.
and one more thing, together these three sisters have an enviable collection of Tory Burch ballet flats.
